A Vertical Machining Center (VMC) is a highly versatile CNC machine designed for precision milling operations, where the spindle axis is vertically oriented.

Its performance and accuracy depend on a synergistic integration of core components including the spindle, tool changer, machine table, guideways, ball screws, control system, and coolant system. Each component plays a critical role: the spindle delivers cutting power and rotational accuracy; the automatic tool changer (ATC) ensures rapid and reliable tool swaps; and the rigid machine structure minimizes vibration during high speed machining.
